The 3M Air-Mate Filter is the high efficiency type and is part of the belt-mounted PAPR unit. The ambient air is taken into the belt-mounted PAPR where it is filtered and forced through the breathing tube into the worker's breathing zone. The 3M High Efficiency Filter 451-02-01R01, with Gasket, is used with 3M Air-Mate High Efficiency Systems for protection against dusts, musts, fumes, asbestos, radionuclides and radon daughters.
